My clinical work encompasses many common client problems, including
depression, anxiety, anger issues, divorce, grief, family of origin issues, life
transitions,  relationship problems, self-esteem issues, stress management, and
work-related problems.  Particular interest areas in which I have specialized
training and experience are Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
assessments (child, adolescent, and adult), psychological testing and evalu-
ations, couples communication and conflict resolution, and trauma work
(accidents, abuse, rape, near-death experiences, etc.).  I see older adolescents,
aged 16 and up, adults, seniors, couples, and families for counseling,
psychotherapy, and coaching and adolescents, adults, and seniors for
assessment.

I view myself as a caring clinician who offers warmth, compassion, and
understanding.  I partner with you to work toward goals that we establish to help
you achieve what you want from life, be it more fulfilling relationships, a more
rewarding job, inner peace, or self-acceptance.  Together, we choose one or
more methods that are appropriate for the types of issues with which we are
working.

About Helene Stoller, Psy.D., L.P.
Dr. Helene Stoller
Licensed Psychologist
& Practice Owner
With a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy
University, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the
Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota, and 2 additional degrees in
mathematics from the University of Michigan, I bring a  broad
knowledge base, experience in government, small and large
corporations, and understanding of a wide variety of people to
my client consultations.  Prior to becoming a psychologist, I
worked as a software engineer and engineering manager in the defense
electronics industry.  I decided to become a psychologist because I wanted a
career that embraced my values of helping people to achieve their goals.  I have
worked as a licensed psychologist  since 1995 in Minnesota; my husband and I
relocated to South Carolina in August, 2006, and I began my private practice in
Bluffton, SC in September, 2006.  As the practice grew, it changed from an
individual to a group practice, which bore my name.  The name of the practice
now reflects the composition of practitioners in it.
